iGlowly Assistant: Patient Education for Cosmetic Clinics, Aesthetic Practices, and Med Spas
iGlowly Assistant is a patient education assistant built for cosmetic clinics, aesthetic practices, and med spas. It sits on a practice's website as a chat widget and answers patient questions about treatments, recovery, side effects, contraindications, pricing, and logistics — accurately, 24/7, without any staff involvement.
It is not a chatbot. It belongs to a category that didn't previously exist: a Digital Clinical Library with a conversational interface.
The Problem
Roughly 30% of patients arrive at consultations with expectations shaped by social media that no procedure can safely meet. Clinics have invested in SEO, content, and expertise — but patients don't read multipage websites. They scan. They want one specific answer, right now, in a format that feels like a conversation. When they can't get it, they leave — for Reddit, TikTok, or the next clinic on the list.
The information gap isn't a content problem. It's a format problem. The access layer is missing.
How It Works
AI understands what a patient is asking. The answer comes from a library of 100+ treatment guides sourced from PubMed and PMC — retrieved, not generated. The system cannot hallucinate treatments, invent facts, or produce answers outside validated clinical content.
Key capabilities:
- Concern-based mapping — patient describes a problem, assistant surfaces relevant treatments the clinic actually offers
- Clinic-specific — only treatments the practice provides are ever mentioned
- Multilingual — conversation context preserved across language switches (EN, FR, NL)
- Always points to consultation — educates and engages, never replaces the clinician
Setup takes ~15 minutes via dashboard. One script tag installs the widget. No content writing, no technical integration, no booking system changes required.
Privacy: Architecture, Not Policy
A PII/PHI anonymisation layer processes every message before any AI sees it. If a patient shares their name, age, or any personal detail — it's detected and masked before it reaches any system. The AI never sees it.
- No conversations stored
- No personal data collected
- No cookies, no tracking, no chat history
- No BAA required under HIPAA
- Architecture addresses EHDS obligations for EU practices (in force March 2025)
What is not collected cannot be exposed.
Analytics
Anonymous, aggregated session signals give practices real demand intelligence — without storing any conversation data:
- Top treatments and concerns being researched
- Most-asked practical topics (pricing, recovery, pain, results)
- Unmet demand — treatments patients ask about that the practice doesn't yet offer
Not metrics about what happened. Signals about what to do next.
